The corn in corn pudding does not apply its modifier.
The cornmeal does and I've checked the other recipe using corn and it gets the modifier.

Indeed. It is because the maize and corn itself use the same kinds of modifier. Not sure if bug or not.

Both meat cuts and meat shreds can modify the same recipe shouldn't corn and cornmeal work the same?
