In fact I end in Jamestown with no home and 3-4 hours on foot to get back... Leanto was full with 2 full chests, nothing was thrown. There was no claim. This happened to me today. My previous lean-to was one I'd used for 3-4 days and it never decayed. This new one I made two days ago when I changed settlements decayed by this morning. One of the dudes I was shacking up with took my lean-to. I wasn't angry about it, just surprised that it had happened. (He was a bro about it and built me a new one though.)
